W. Jeffrey Allard, Ph.D
FOUNDER AND CHIEF SCIENTIFIC OFFICER
Jeff earned his Ph.D from Dartmouth College, in Biochemistry. Since obtaining his Doctorate, Dr. Allard has brought six "new to the world" diagnostic tests through FDA, with 30+ FDA clearances and approvals. He has launched sixteen new products. He has authored over 100 scientific papers and abstracts, and he invented, developed, and obtained FDA clearance for the first complexed PSA assay.
Paul Allard. RN
CO-FOUNDER AND CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Paul is a Registered Nurse and Co-founder of Lakeside Life Science. Paul saw the need to bring patients back to the foreground of clinical research. He has a proven history of clinical site management as well as a vision to bring academic centers and community centers together to further medical research. Paul manages all day-to-day operations of the company.
SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, QUALITY & REGULATORY AFFAIRS
Gabriela earned her degree in Biochemistry from Virginia Tech (VPI&SU), her MBA from Long Island University, and is a Certified Regulatory Affairs Professional. She has more than 30 years of experience with Medical Devices in both human and veterinary markets. Gabriela manages the regulatory and quality aspects of the company.
VICE PRESIDENT, SALES & MARKETING
Kay joined Lakeside in 2022 as VP of Sales and Marketing. Kay has 3 decades of experience in healthcare sales and marketing with a special focus on life sciences, diagnostics and the development of regulated products and technologies. Her roles have included life science supply and equipment sales, executive recruiting, commercial insurance (with a focus on clinical trials), and non-profit trade association work. Kay’s passion is helping companies solve problems, and she leverages her life science experience and network of personal and strategic relationships to accomplish this. In her role at Lakeside, Kay leads sales, marketing, and the growth of the company’s revenues. Her priority is advocating for companies who need the strategic support of a full service CRO to get their products to the market.
Craig has been contributing to Lakeside Life Science since its inception in 2015. He specializes in clinical study design and protocol development, clinical data management, biostatistics, regulatory submissions, and manuscript writing and editing (Craig is a co-author on 90 peer-reviewed publications in the field of oncology and diagnostics). Craig has over 25 years of experience in the in vitro diagnostics industry and was instrumental in the clinical development and validation of the CELLSEARCH® system and associated components for the capture and enumeration of circulating tumor cells and the ROMA® pelvic mass triage assay. Craig has a BS in Biochemistry from Texas A&M University.
Sophie Mae Sanborn, RN
CLINICAL RESEARCH ASSISTANT
Sophie is a registered nurse who joined Lakeside in June 2020 as an intern and was later hired in August 2020 as a clinical research assistant. She specializes in clinical operations and has experience with clinical site management ranging from qualification, initiation, monitoring, and close out, subject screening and enrollment, and regulatory affairs.
DIRECTOR, SYSTEMS ENGINEERING
Nick is a System Engineer who joined Lakeside in 2020. Nick has expertise in Project Management, System Integration, Verification / Validation and Risk Management gained in over 30 years experience in instrumentation design, development and integration. Nick has a MLT/BS/MA in Medical Technology and Organizational Management as well as multiple patents in system design.
